Yeah, the Gray Zone has been doing sterling work. It’s a little shocking to find out exactly how dishonest those in government and media are. They may even make propaganda organs of USSR and China look good by comparison. Trust that took generations to build up will be expended soon, then all hell may break loose. At this point, that might even be a best case scenario for the rest of the world.
I am not sure the Trust that was built up by the Progressives and the New Dealers was entirely deserved, but at least they thought there was enough value in being believed that it was worth considering the cost of lying. They may have been manipulative — that is always the motivation for official lying, power and control. But, they were sincere. The power of lying is an illusion of course; lose track of reality and control is lost anyway. Now I think the players do not even recognize it as lying — it is all pure b.s. and the truth simply does not matter. The prize goes to the one with the best story, and “best” does not require correspondence with fact. Sincerity? If you can fake that, you’ve got it made!
It ought to be emphasized more than the GreyZone report does, that the OPCW as an institution was designed specifically to be credible and to maintain its integrity so as to be useful in enforcing prohibitions on the use of chemical weapons. This is not a case of casual lying. It was necessary to basically destroy the institution and make it not fit to purpose, in order to pursue a dubious and incoherent policy of attacking and overthrowing Assad’s regime (with no real idea of an alternative to chaos).

One of the odd things about becoming a geezer is that more than half of my boomer cohort are not online at home. Now that they have retired from jobs that provided email, they aren’t interested in having it at home. In practice, this means that television and radio are their only sources of news, and it shows, and not in a good way.
Bruce – if you watch the Grayzone video to the end, it has an interview clip with the first – the first! – Director General of the OPCW, where Bolton essentially made a threat against his children, in the event that he did not resign (because he had not gone along with the chemical weapons story in Iraq). So the OPCW was pretty much corrupted from the start.
I was shocked to find out, about a week ago, that my vitamin D level was more than 50% lower than 6 months ago, even though I’d increased my dosage by 50%. I did that because my levels were low 6 months ago, by the holistic standard of my dentist.
Living in NJ, I stopped my sunbathing when it started getting cold. My assumption is that sunlight was keeping me much safer than my vitamin D pills.
I was advised to change my brand of vitamin D. The Big Cheese at the holistic dental office I go to uses quicksilverscientific, which uses fancy shmancy liposomal and micelle delivery systems. They’re kind of pricey, but I figure it’s cheaper than dying. They also warned me that not everybody gets results from quicksilver scientific products, either.
But, it goes to my point, which depends on knowing how the institution was elaborately structured to maintain integrity and credibility and, still, powerful people like Bolton discard all ethics to pursue mad plans and freely destroy institutions deliberately designed for integrity and credibility.
