maybe we need an exit from all aspects of the morality of good intentions
I was talking to someone I know whose mind has been captured by the right-wing noise machine about urban homelessness. It is pretty intense in Hollywood where I live: many, many discarded, hopeless, helpless people living literally on the streets, in filth.
For whatever reasons I do not care to fathom the powers that be have decided that homelessness should be exhibited to the public at large as a problem impossible to solve.
My friend’s idea of “the left” is a bunch of people earnestly but impotently spending vast sums of public money “intending” to solve problems like homelessness but never actually doing anything effective because any effective measure would offend their precious sensibilities.
I got the distinct impression that his idea of effective measures would include shooting the poor, dumb bastards and burying them in a ditch somewhere.

Boston-based genomics scientist Kevin McKernan made the shocking discovery that the mRNA Covid vaccines are contaminated with excessive levels of plasmid DNA
McKernan’s findings were soon confirmed by multiple independent labs
In an experiment… McKernan has detected vaccine contaminant DNA in ovarian cancer cell lines

I vaguely recall a movie about a guy who discovered a cure for cancer in the Amazon and a variety of thrilling adventures ensued. Why not an adventure film about a dope-addled medicinal genomicist getting chased around Manhattan by gangs of mRNA goombahs?
As for the homeless, conservative media preaches that the poor are mostly liberal druggies and democrat illegal immigrants, as if implying they’re deserving of a bullet or two. My own (somewhat limited) experiences working amongst Section 8s and the food bank hungry suggest the poor are mostly humble folk going through a stretch of shit out of luck. A radical perception perhaps, but it does tend to jibe with what Jesus, Mohammed, and Confucious say. Not much of a movie in that.
In Brazil they solved homelessness with the favela, often with spectacular views. Unfortunately, those places have been a magnet for ‘obtuse’ versions of crime, unlike the wealthy neighborhoods which draw more sophisticated versions. And we all know that the adventures of rich criminals makes for a more interesting story.
In November 2023, a physician scientist testifying in front of Congress said that the mRNA vaccines made by Pfizer or Moderna contained fragments of DNA. He then took it one step further. He said that these DNA fragments could integrate into our DNA, causing cancers, like leukemia or lymphoma, or autoimmune diseases or other problems. This was in November of 2023.
Now, was he right? Is that true what he had said?
So, in order to understand the answer to that question, we need to go back to the beginning. How do you make mRNA vaccines? The way they’re made is you have a starting material that consists of a DNA plasmid into which is cloned a DNA piece that represents the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. Then there’s a series of steps to amplify that SARS-CoV-2 spike protein DNA that is ultimately then converted to messenger RNA, purified and filtered, and then eventually treated with an enzyme that would cut any residual DNA and filtered and purified again.
So, is it possible that these DNA fragments from that starting material could end up in the final material? And the answer is yes, but in very small quantities. And by very small I mean nanograms, which is billionths of a gram. So, could that be harmful? Well, in order for it to be harmful, it would have to get into our DNA, which is virtually impossible, and here’s why. First, these DNA fragments would have to enter the cytoplasm, which is that part of the cell outside of the nucleus, and our cytoplasm hates foreign DNA. It has innate immune mechanisms as well as enzymes to destroy foreign DNA. Then the DNA would have to enter our nucleus, which would mean it would have to cross the nuclear membrane, which requires a nuclear membrane access signal, which these DNA fragments don’t have. Even if they were able to get into our nucleus, which they can’t, they would have to then integrate into our DNA with an enzyme called integrase, which then cuts our DNA, and it would allow these DNA fragments to insert themselves into our DNA. But they don’t have these kind of integrases. So, it’s impossible; it’s virtually impossible for these DNA fragments to do any harm. They are clinically and utterly harmless.
And, and this fear of foreign DNA is a little far-fetched. First of all, we are colonized with trillions of bacteria, including trillions of bacteria that line our intestinal tract, which is a vast amount of foreign DNA to which we’re exposed. Also, assuming that we live on this planet and that you eat animals or plants on this planet, you are ingesting foreign DNA, some of which ends up in your circulation, especially plant DNA, at much larger quantities and in much larger fragment than we see with these small DNA fragments in vaccines.

Over 30 independent scientific studies are “unsubstantiated theories”
“A spokesperson from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration told us in an email that “no safety concerns..””

“Various experts also told us that it is unlikely”

Is your friend’s idea of “the left” wrong? If all the money that various “the left” people are given one way or another to “do something” about homelessness were simply given to the homeless to use for rent or whatever, and all the various “the left” people were all fired from their highly-paid jobs and positions, the homeless would be better off. Some of them would get rehomed, including some of the “the left” who would become homeless after being fired from their lamprey-tapeworm jobs and positions.
I remember once reading something interesting that Steve Baer once wrote. Steve Baer is one of the Grand Old Men of solar and other renewable energy. He has noted that he never ever took any kind of grant for any purpose. Every anything he has ever done in the field of solar and renewable energy was paid for by selling it to private buyers who wanted to buy it.
Anyway, he once wrote about how at a conference of some kind he was being interviewed by a journalist from The Nation magazine who asked him basically . . . ” if solar and renewable energy experts and engineers were given all the money they could possibly want for as long as they wanted to solve the renewable energy problem, how long would it take them to solve it?” And Steve Baer writes that he told the journalist . . . ” it would take them forever to solve it, because if they ever solved it, they wouldn’t get paid anymore to solve it, because it would be solved. So they would make sure to never ever solve it so as to never ever stop getting paid to solve it.”
I suspect your friend is exactly right about ” the left”. If the homeless were all given rent or given homes, ” the left” would all lose their phoney-baloney jobs “solving the problem” of homelessness.
If you don’t like the idea of giving the homeless rent money or houses, then give them all Uzis and thousands of rounds of ammunition for each Uzi. If you don’t like Israel, then give them all AK-47s and/or AR15s and thousands of rounds for each one. The basic principle is the same whatever the type of gun is. They’ll get some homes right quick.
Kevin McKernan, the author of the preprint studies that were not peer reviewed, has an undergraduate degree in biology, is the founder of Medicinal Genomics, a company that markets test kits and genomics-related services to the cannabis, hemp and mushroom industries.
Why not an adventure film about a about a dope-addled medicinal genomicist
—
Just make sure to mention in the film that Kevin McKernan has an H-index over 40, and an i10-index over 60. Giving him a better ranking then 84% of Nobel Prize winning Scientists.
Maybe make a joke about how Dope causes intelligence and that Einstein’s hair was proof-positive he was dope-addled.
Basically, the Covid-19 virus can cause protein misfoldings. The paper does not address whether the chunk of Covid-19 that was reproduced wholesale by the mRNA vaccines also has this property.
Break out the bright lights
Turn on the klieg lights
Gonna have ourselves a ball
Out damn Covid—the witches ‘ curse banished to the streets and prison cells
Hating conditions more than causes the well fed walk leashed Jack Terriers past tent camps while holding noses. It all stinks.
The question remains, whatcha gonna do when the lights go out?
Lacking answers we march in lockstep and pay the piper . . .
Oak Chair – Those quotes from 1984 line right up with Hannah Arendt’s definition of totalitarianism – foregrounding ideology to the point of being blind to obvious reality.
diff clue – Your tongue-in-cheek suggestions of arming everyone is vintage Zappa. He suggested we just disband the Dept of “Defense” and just give every man, woman and child in the country a rocket launcher and a box of ammo.
Willy – The movie you are vaguely remembering was Medicine Man with Sean Connery
Bruce Wilder – I’m from Atlanta, born and raised here. Maybe one of the perverse advantages of being from the South is that the myopic inhumanity of the ruling classes here has always been open and brazen. Watching the ghastly events in Gaza, my first awful dawning realization was that this, this is what slavery and our butchery of the original, indigenous inhabitants of this land really looked like. Maybe heartlessness is the factory setting in a culture like ours.
Glimpses of the animal world:
I live with deer, wildcats , foxes and coyotes along with finches, corvids and stellar jays.
The nearest stop light is 60 miles away no matter how it’s measured, north or south.
I’m a drifter, not a grifter and I’d vote for someone local if he or she served the common good, which even my ex wife could not do at her best given all the opposing forces.
So I’ll keep my head down and get around as best as I can with a grounded aspiration to maintain a heart of service.
Interesting. While not “of the left” I occupy a position that would definitely be considered so. Perhaps I need to demand a raise!
Most of the people actually trying to house the homeless are paid shit. Some executives probably draw more pay than they deserve (boards are odd creatures), but the folks who work for them generally draw materially less pay than they could elsewhere. Most of that money being “given” to “the left” doesn’t leave the public sector…
Would a film furnish “the evidence of your eyes and ears” for possible rejection?
In contrast to the grammatically challenged, “a proteomic-based approach utilizing mass spectrometry to analyze the serum of 81 patients
viral integration in patients’ leukocytes was assessed”?
The problem with asking me as a citizen to be alarmed is that I can scarcely understand the claims let alone judge them. And to compound the problem, I don’t know that I can trust the journalistic “fact-checker” to do an honest and effective job of finding trustworthy authority to judge the claims, if trustworthy authority even exists.
The scientific and public health debacle that was the COVID-19 pandemic was one aspect of a general loss of political legitimacy, competency and trust so massive and general that it can scarcely be apprehended.
Most of the people actually trying to house the homeless are paid shit.
Whatever they are paid, in my state, they are apparently not actually accomplishing much.
I don’t want to get into a back-and-forth about who appreciates the selfless efforts of the virtuous more.
The problem of homelessness in my state is very conspicuously not-being-solved and, as far as I am concerned, that’s the message from the powers-that-be: “this problem can NOT be solved so suck it up, proles and Karens alike!”. If someone is being “paid shit” to “address” it (or whatever euphemism), that’s on them for being a clueless tool.
Creating a political polarization between people like my right-wing friend and the useless virtue-signalling “left” is just an auxiliary means to the end of preventing any policy change.
to do an honest and effective job of finding trustworthy authority to judge the claims

This is one of societies major problems. Instead of reading the material, engaging in a discussion society instead refuses to think and believes whatever the “authority” tells them to believe.

Would a film furnish “the evidence of your eyes and ears” for possible rejection?

People who are concerned with the truth don’t reject evidence. They engage with it, analysis how it was gathered, and determine what it actually shows.
Compare my response to Clinical trial with the various responses to the studies showing cancer causation.
1- The trial was designed, performed and the data selectively released by the drug manufacturer.
2- The trial used a passive adverse event reporting system which has been shown to record as low as 5% of drug side effects.
3- The trial cherry picked a) It excluded the first 6 weeks, b) tested less than 80% of people with infectious symptoms for Covid, c) excluded more people in the vaccine group than people recorded as getting Covid. If the data wasn’t cherry picked it could very well show negative efficacy.
4- In the FDA documents and trial design Pfizer stated the trial was partially unblinded.
5- In the documents that were released via court order there are half a dozen statistical anomalies suggesting systemic fraud occurred. Brooks Jackson an employee of the trial also has a whistleblower case that systemic fraud occurred. We know of multiple individual cases of fraud occurring such as Maddie de Gary, and Augusto Roux.
Even then the clinical trial shows the vaccine increases severe adverse events. Meaning it increase the chance of dying, being hospitalized, developing a chronic illness or needing medical attention.
Homelessness would be solved today if every well-housed Christian (MAGA or demonically possessed) just went down to tarp town and took one home.
“But they’re ugly!” they might exclaim, “Wouldn’t it be easier to just send them back to their shithole country?” I’d then reply: “So leave the ugly ones for the bleeding hearts to take home as pets like they would a three-legged stray. Select one of the prettier ones and think of the Trump vote you’ll be getting, not to mention the Jesus’ street cred.” While they get the first part but seem mystified by the second, they never wind up doing anything of the sort. (yes there’s stuff like Christian halfway houses but they’re not intended to be permanent nor are there enough of them to go around)
I’m old enough to remember public housing from days of old. Crime-infested shitholes they turned out to be. The MAGAS say “Hell, wasn’t living in a project easier than what my great-grandad had, all ‘little house on the goddamned prairie’? Gramps used to bitch about having to do farm work all goddamned day.”
It then dawned on me that maybe, it’s the hope these people need, a sense of ‘safety net’ where if something bad happens, they wont go splat, be abandoned, and after all that, get their asses shot.
Societies’ major problem is that they’re too busy, distracted, or lazy to read the material and engage in a discussion. And hint hint, much of society isn’t refusing to think, but cannot think and a great many will choose whatever random “authority” they ‘feel’ works for them, whenever they actually try to think.
I’m not obsessed with vaccines. After the ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine and bleach failed, I just went out and got mine and I’ve been good ever since. Heard no complaints from extended family, friends, or acquaintances either. However, should I start growing lumps all over the place, then my focus will definitely shift and I’ll be spending my precious time looking into causes, details, and theories.
It makes no rational sense that big pharma, a business notorious for being sued, would double down on putting out crap then hoping for the best. Too many powerful lawyers out there. Will there be something? Probably. There’s always something. The fast talking disclaimer guy at the end of all the big pharma commercials tells us so. Since I know I’m taking a risk with those people, I try my best to eat right and exercise and stay the hell away from them as much as I can.
Full disclosure, I drive a truck which contributes to climate change. But this doesn’t mean the truck isn’t the most efficient means I have to get me places which is necessary for my own survival. Until something better turns up, it’s gotta do. It doesn’t seem plausible that big fuel plotted climate change just so they could sell their carbon capture machines. More like after the big bucks started rolling in, they pumped like the dickens.
To get people thinking, we’d need to see vaccine deaths outpacing covid deaths. A critical mass of people needs to get suspicious after their own family, friends and acquaintances start mysteriously dropping like flies. Thus far, regardless of the corporate media, I don’t know of a single vaccine death, personally, out of the many people I know who’ve been vaccinated. What’s up with that?
Societies’ major problem is that they’re too busy, distracted, or lazy to read the material and engage in a discussion. And hint hint, much of society isn’t refusing to think, but cannot think and a great many will choose whatever random “authority” they ‘feel’ works for them, whenever they actually try to think.
This.
How many people are equipped by training and education to properly investigate or assess any particular issue varies greatly (multiple orders of magnitude) by issue, but it is always a minority, sometimes a tiny minority. The numerical majority might fail a literacy or numeracy test, especially if the subject was not of personal interest (sports or music or movies, say, but even then, people are dumb).
Organizing a labor union action, as an example, can require a great deal of patient explaining, but it can be done.
Hearing a genuine expert honestly explain and teach a complex topic without trying to dictate the moral judgments of his audience or imbue an unfounded certainty is one of the great pleasures of education, but it is a rare experience. It is no longer a function of popular journalism to convey such explanations or teaching second or third-hand.
It is the instinct of unreflective and corrupt power to extinguish opportunities for such experiences. That is sad. Evil at work.
I’ve suggested that important issues be promoted as simply as possible at the beginning like a flashy seductive headline, with the first paragraph delivered as if the reader was a child. And for the remaining 5% who’ve gotten that far, we’d follow with a detailed text proving the point. It took me a while to realize that the 5% part doesn’t usually change much.
The way things seem to work for most, if you don’t get what Vito told you, and Sonny can’t explain it better, then here comes Luca Brasi.
The rule I used to tell my writers when I was managing editor of sites was that half would only read the headline, and you’d lose half with each paragraph. It’s one reason many sites didn’t want articles longer than 500 words.
A good writer could lower this figures significantly.
I often don’t take my own advice at my own place, however.
Resubmitting this, didn’t make it through last night.
@Willy
“After the ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine and bleach failed,
Ivermectin didn’t “fail”, it was assassinated. Because it’s cheap, works, and is safer than aspirin.
I will note that bleach is not on the WHO’s list of 10 Essential Medicines, whereas Ivermectin is. (4 billion + human prescriptions have been written for it…)
“I just went out and got mine and I’ve been good ever since. Heard no complaints from extended family, friends, or acquaintances either.”
Glad you are good. I’ve lost an injected friend to Gillian-barr, one to heart. One close friend is just gone from turbo prostate cancer and another is deep into treatments. Just heard of 3x others in my small community with recent diagnosis. Lots of “small” deterioration in people. A friend’s legs turned blue after injection. Another blacked out and fell off the chair, smashing her head. Etc.
For sure, it’s somewhat subjective; there’s certainly other stressors at play; but the mrna-injected countries are running higher excess deaths.
“To get people thinking, we’d need to see vaccine deaths outpacing covid deaths.”
In certain demographics, ie young males, the injection-side-effects hospitalization rate was higher than the covid hospitalization rate.
Generally though, we won’t _see_ vax deaths outpace covid deaths because we are actively not looking for the actual numbers.
The definition of “covid as cause of death” is “was a contributing factor or a covid test came back positive”. Next.
The definition of “cause of death is vax” is “vax + the deceased has a loved one who sacrifices years of their lives to see justice done”.
The dose(s) of spike, wrapped in the nano-lipids which allows for crossing of the blood/brain barrier, which lodge in fatty tissues longer term, are a potent and systemic immune irritant.
This increased load can allow other situations that the immune was attenuating (ie prostate, which is generally slow-growing) to shift state.
John Campbell has some great interviews regarding this, top Australian cancer doc.
“It makes no rational sense that big pharma, a business notorious for being sued, would double down on putting out crap then hoping for the best.”
You know that the emergency authorization of the injections waives pharma liability, right?
Never automatically trust ‘Big Concentrated Power”. Eat right, exercise well, control your thoughts, live within your means.
But then I should talk. I’d treat myself to ice cream and Captain Crunch every night while watching MSNBC. It took years to realize the addictive poison-potential of processed sugar, and that while that MSNBC does occasionally address serious problems like climate change and wealth-disparity, they only do so sparingly to maintain a bit of street cred, just like the “added vitamins and minerals” seen in some junk food. The rest of their peddlings are addictive crap.
You know that the emergency authorization of the injections waives pharma liability, right?
Trump isn’t always so dumb now is he? I wonder how much he got for “Operation Warp Speed”. But then I’ve never gotten tuberculosis after my vaccine, while my mother wasted a year of her life in a sanatarium. I did notice the reports that outfits like Fox News and Davos insisted on vaccines. But then, so many of their kind are disingenuously corrupt. It’s always something. Do we trust Chinese vaccines instead?

If you don’t like the idea of giving the homeless rent money or houses, then give them all Uzis and thousands of rounds of ammunition for each Uzi. If you don’t like Israel, then give them all AK-47s and/or AR15s and thousands of rounds for each one. The basic principle is the same whatever the type of gun is. They’ll get some homes right quick.

Notice the lack of medical credentials:

And now for some real Covid posting:
https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2024.04.25.591137v1
Basically, the Covid-19 virus can cause protein misfoldings. The paper does not address whether the chunk of Covid-19 that was reproduced wholesale by the mRNA vaccines also has this property.
This is not a prion.

This is one of societies major problems. Instead of reading the material, engaging in a discussion society instead refuses to think and believes whatever the “authority” tells them to believe.

Willy
I’ve suggested that important issues be promoted as simply as possible at the beginning like a flashy seductive headline, with the first paragraph delivered as if the reader was a child. And for the remaining 5% who’ve gotten that far, we’d follow with a detailed text proving the point. It took me a while to realize that the 5% part doesn’t usually change much.
The way things seem to work for most, if you don’t get what Vito told you, and Sonny can’t explain it better, then here comes Luca Brasi.
Ian Welsh
The rule I used to tell my writers when I was managing editor of sites was that half would only read the headline, and you’d lose half with each paragraph. It’s one reason many sites didn’t want articles longer than 500 words.
A good writer could lower this figures significantly.
I often don’t take my own advice at my own place, however.

Resubmitting this, didn’t make it through last night.

Willy
