Ok folks, we don’t what is causing new posts not to show for some time, but we’re closer to it. It’ll get fixed, but probably not till the weekend.

Stuff does show up on the RSS feed, so click the RSS feed button on the right to see the recent posts (you don’t have to subscribe, it just shows an up to date list). Clearing your browser cache will help slightly (stuff an hour or two old seems to show, but not the most recent.)

My apologies for this, but I’ve got someone with technical chops going to it, and one way or the other we’ll get it fixed.

Ian, your site is so fucked up; I give up.
    Bye.
I’ll check back much later; that will be greater…

Windows 7 with Firefox. I have the newer posts not accessible erratically. When I subscribe to comment feed, clicking on the latest comment takes me to the beginning of the comment section with one comment showing and no later ones. I have to go to the home page, then to the post, and then to the comment section to see the latest comments.

For me the number of comments is not accurate from the front page.

This morning all I could see was

    On why trump won.

When my home state Michigan went into play for Hillary, I knew she had done fucked up and was going to lose. Then Trump took Ohio and Florida and that was all she wrote. Pennsylvania was icing on the cake.

    Now I can see:

I should be #5 on the comments here.

Teeny tiny low-contrast text in the body of posts. I can read it, but not comfortably. Zooming in one notch causes all text and photos to jam up against the left side of the screen, with no margin spacing at all. And I just noticed the “Reader View” feature in Firefox which converts “flat design”/mobile websites into a legible format… is not working on your site. It was until recently I think. (Firefox 47 on WinXP desktop)

I see no reason why the browser would have any effect, unless the site is serving up entirely different pages to mobiles. Even at that, there should be no difference beyond desktop vs. mobile.

This is clearly a database/page generation issue, not an HTML/CSS issue. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with the client end.

    Just optimise the databases.
